Code of Conduct

MASE's code of conduct

Modern American Schools of Egypt is committed to providing every student with the opportunity to attend school in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. This goal is of the highest priority because excellence in education cannot be achieved unless schools and classrooms are safe and orderly.

The Code of Conduct was developed so that all students, staff and parents can fully understand the expectations for student behavior while in attendance of our schools, of any school function and any school transportation.

Attendance Policy

At MASE, all students are expected to arrive at school on time and to attend all scheduled classes, meetings and activities unless they have a valid excuse such as illness or involvement in a scheduled school activity.

In all cases, parents and guardians are required to contact the relevant kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School or High School Office if their child is absent, and provide them with needed documentations, such as a medical report. Prolonged absences may affect learning new concepts which will eventually affect grades.

Uniform Policy

Every student is expected to show up to school wearing the official school uniform.

Boys:

Boys are expected to maintain a regular haircut, they are not allowed with long hair and beards on campus.

Sportswear and shoes are only to be worn during PE and changed immediately after.

Girls:

Girls are not allowed to dye their hair exotic non-natural colors.

Girls are not allowed to put on makeup or nail polish.

Any breach of the policy may result in disciplinary action including, but not limited to, detention, a parent meeting, or suspension.

Bullying Policy

At MASE we are committed to providing a warm, caring and safe environment for all our students so that they can learn and play in a relaxed and secure environment. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our school. We take all incidents of bullying seriously. Bullying hurts. No-one deserves to be a victim of bullying. Everybody has the right to be treated with respect and pupils who are bullying others need to learn different ways of behaving.

Any breach of the policy may result in disciplinary action including, but not limited to, detention, a parent meeting, or suspension.

Harassment Policy

Modern American Schools of Egypt considers harassment in the work and educational environment to be inappropriate and offensive. It will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

This policy is intended to help students and non-students recognize, understand, prevent and take corrective action to address any inappropriate behavior in the workplace and in instructional settings.

This policy applies to conduct during and related to the operation of the schools, any school function and any school transportation.

Any breach of the policy may result in disciplinary action including detention, suspension or even termination of employment.
